Cub Scouts Earn Community Living Badge
The “Community
Living” badge was introduced to the pack two years ago
and each year, the Cub Scouts work together to learn about
what Community Living is and what services they have to offer.
Cub Scouts join on board and participate in events planned
during Community Living Month. The Cub Scouts also invite

This year, the
Community Living campaign focuses its attention on employment,
with the goal of making Ontario’s employers aware that
employing people who have an intellectual disability makes
good business sense. At Community Living Campbellford/Brighton
this campaign has had positive result s for people employed
at the Job Zone, a business that offers employment opportunities
for people with intellectual disabilities. This positive response
from local business is just one more example of how important
the support from local businesses is to our Association.
